Our client, Ganong Bros. Limited have been producing fine chocolate products since 1873. Based in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Ganong Bros. Limited is Canada's oldest candy company.
As the Human Resource Coordinator you will be responsible for the "hands-on" elements of a vibrant and challenging Human Resource Department. Daily, you will be involved in recruitment, staff orientation and the implementation of company HR policies and procedures and you will also provide support and guidance to the plant's supervisory team and employees. The position provides an interesting variety of challenges and responsibilities and the ideal candidate for the role is positive, professional, creative, results oriented and is looking to excel in the Human Resources Profession.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Employee Orientation.
- Provide HR assistance to supervisors and employees on policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Work in conjunction with the Safety Program to ensure speedy and accurate reporting and compliance with Workers Compensation and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Assist managers and supervisors with the resolution of challenging HR issues.
- Implement HR procedures with the goal of meeting business objectives.
- Organize and maintain personnel information.
- Prepare and deliver as needed communications, presentations and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Human Resources or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 - 3 years experience in human resources.
- At least two years office administration experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and employees.
- A willingness to achieve a CHRP designation.
